A dark, many-faceted crystal said to be woven from the gems of Fëanor devoured by the hunger of Ungoliant herself. Unlike any natural jewel, it devours light instead of reflecting it, leaving the air around it dim and chill. Within its depths drift slow, swirling shadows, like the memory of a void. Cold to the touch and heavy with malice, the Gem unsettles all who behold it, for it is not a treasure of beauty but a remnant of the ancient darkness that once sought to swallow Arda whole.
Featür taught me how focusing my will on what i dread the most will let me use the Gem's powers as a shield by coiling the unlight it holds around me like a cloak, deflecting harm, and veiling presence.
