Mithlond - Basement Dwellers
Clear the basement of the inn in Mithlond of an infestation of rats.

Mithlond - No Sense of Humor
Araheil, Captain of the Lindon Guard, has asked you to locate the nuisance in Harlindon. Someone has been leaving deadly traps as a joke, and a hobbit named Thoddo near the Healers may know more.

- Thoddo said he saw two hill trolls setting a trap for a cave troll. The beast is now enraged, and you should find them and slay it before it harms anyone else.
- The trolls were no match for you. Urbuth, Grud, and Wumag are dead, and with your reward in hand you travel eastward.

Mithlond - Rogue's Key
Thoddo Proudfoot, a Shirean rogue, has asked you to retrieve a map of Fornost from the mage in town.

Mithlond - Shipwright's Errands
Lord Cirdan has asked you to visit Emyn Beraid and the Tower of Elostirion to see whether the Palantir is safe.

- Now that you know the Palantir is intact, you should return to Cirdan and see whether he has a proper task for you.
- After your visit to Elostirion, Lord Cirdan asks you to investigate Imlad Celeglin and especially the Celeglin Barrows north of town. The local librarian and shopkeepers may know more.
- You restored peace to Celeglin Vale by banishing Gaurithoth the Abhorrent, the fallen Numenorean who had become a wraith and served the Witch-king.

Mithlond - The Lost School Book
Ciranna Cirdan, daughter of Lord Cirdan, has lost her school book. She was playing by the farmer's house, in the library, and near one of the caves in Mithlond.

Blue Mountains - Dunedain Outlaws
You agreed to hunt five Dunedain outlaws throughout the Blue Mountains and return proof of each to Vannde.

Blue Mountains - Radni's Quest
Radni has asked you to locate dwarven runes and return them to him. In exchange, he offers a recipe that should help you endure elemental extremes, which must then be carried to Qorthi in the Iron Mines.

Bree - Helping the Farmer
The farmer of Bree needs to return to his farm, but bandits are raiding his land. Convince the local bandit leader to stop.

Bree - The Shadows Beneath Weathertop
Travel to Weathertop, speak with the Rangers guarding the ruins, and uncover what dark force may be stirring beneath Amon Sul.
Other Journal Entries
- Halbarad and the Rangers confirmed Strider's fears: orc bands have taken refuge near Weathertop, but something far darker stirs below. You must press onward and uncover the true source of this evil.
- You confronted the darkness beneath Weathertop. The evil was far greater than anticipated, and now it lies defeated. You must return to Halbarad and tell him of the tome you uncovered.
- Halbarad has been informed. He urges you to take both your findings and the dark tome to Strider while the Rangers continue their watch.
- You returned to Strider and shared what you learned, including the dark tome from beneath the ruins. He recognized it as part of a dangerous set and instructed you to carry it to Rivendell for study. For now, the questline ends here.

Bree - Tom Bombadil
Tom Bombadil spoke of a nasty tree in the far northern reaches of the Old Forest that carries a bow staff.

- Strider described a possible source for a magical string in the ruins near Lake Evendim, west of Fornost.
- You completed the creation of the magical bow with the help of Tom Bombadil, Goldberry, and Strider.

Trollshaws - Troll Hunting
Rugnar sent you to defeat seven members of a troll family living in the Trollshaws.

Rivendell - Find the Fledgling
Ruinith, the herbalist of Rivendell, asks for your help locating an eagle fledgling. Begin your search in the Trollshaws.

Rivendell - Scout Scouting

Gondor - Lighting the Beacons
Thorongil, a Captain of Gondor, has asked you to climb into the White Mountains and light five war beacons. He said the entrance lies in the Eastfold of Rohan and that you will need oil and flint to light the fires.

- On your journey you met a watchman near a lodge. Though his memory was poor, he claimed there were two beacons to the east and three to the west. Storms and orcs have made the task far from simple, and the nearby bridge has been knocked out.
- You have lit 1 of the 5 beacons of Gondor.
- You have lit 2 of the 5 beacons of Gondor.
- You have lit 3 of the 5 beacons of Gondor.
- You have lit 4 of the 5 beacons of Gondor.
- You lit the fifth and final beacon of Gondor and should return to Captain Thorongil immediately.
- The mission was a success. Thorongil rewarded you with a small crystal said to contain some of the light of Gondor's White Tree at the height of its beauty.

Find the Druedain Hunters
During your mission to light the beacons you encountered Ghan-buri-Ghan, who offered flint in exchange for help finding three missing hunters in the mountains.
Other Journal Entries
- You located the first of the three hunters and received a symbol as proof.
- You located the second of the three hunters and received a symbol as proof.
- You located the last of the three hunters and should return to Ghan-buri-Ghan.
- After finding all three hunters and returning to Ghan-buri-Ghan, he rewarded you with magical arrows crafted by the Druedain.

Help the Giant Eagle
While crossing the White Mountains you encountered a giant eagle. You offered to return his egg to its nest on one of the eastern peaks in exchange for help crossing the ravine he guards from orcs.

- You placed the egg safely in its nest. You should light the nearby beacons and return to the eagle.
- The eagle rewarded you with a key that allows you to cross the ravine, warning that there will be no way back once you do.

Gondor - Reclaim Osgiliath
Lord Denethor, Steward of Gondor, has charged you with reclaiming Osgiliath. He promised a reward if you succeed and reacted strangely when you mentioned his son Faramir, who was last sent there.
Other Journal Entries
- You found Captain Faramir in Osgiliath, holding a defensive position in a ruined house. He asked you to speak with one of his men in the basement.
- The bricklayer below explained that the orcs are tunneling under the river and may soon break through. He needs more bricks and mortar, but even that will only delay the problem.
- Faramir explained that the only real answer is to destroy the tunnel. The orcs maintain a command post in the courthouse on the far side of the river.
- You destroyed two stone pillars supporting the tunnel and barely escaped the collapse alive.
- Faramir thanked you and recommended that you return to Denethor for your reward.
- For a brief moment Denethor showed joy that Faramir was alive, then quickly turned cold again. Even so, he gave you the Key to the City of Osgiliath.

Osgiliath - Heal Wounded Soldiers
While searching Osgiliath for Faramir and a way to break the orc hold on the city, you met a Gondorian soldier who asked you to find a high-quality healing kit.

Osgiliath - Free the Prisoners
Inside the courthouse you found two prisoners held by the orcs. The court justice asked you to find the commander's key and free them.

Gondor - The Palantir of Osgiliath
The librarian in the High Keep of Minas Tirith became alarmed when you showed her the book recovered from Osgiliath. She asked you to return later after studying it.
Other Journal Entries
- When you returned, the librarian said the book revealed that the lost Palantir of Osgiliath had been recovered by Mordor. She urged you to reclaim it, suggesting Cirith Ungol as the likeliest place to begin.
- At last you reached the top of Cirith Ungol and found the Palantir. You should bring it back to the librarian and decide what to do with it.
- The librarian explained that the Palantir belongs atop the courthouse tower in Osgiliath and asked you to use a magical key to restore it there. She also warned you not to mention any of this to Denethor.
- When you spoke of the Palantir to Denethor, he eagerly offered a great reward if you would instead bring it to him.
- You gave the Palantir to Denethor, who rewarded you with a key granting access to the Path of Kings.
- You chose instead to return the Palantir to its rightful place atop the tower in Osgiliath and should report back to the librarian.
- After telling the librarian the task was complete, she gave you a key to the Path of Kings in Minas Tirith.
- You found an unusual book in a secret room within the courthouse of Osgiliath. The librarian in the High Keep may know more about it.

Grey Mountains - Ando-Anca Key
This quest chain rewards the Frost Pick Key, which grants access to Ando-Anca.
Grey Mountains - Nali's Request
Nali the dwarvish scholar wants proof of the true might of the dwarvish kings of the Grey Mountains and hopes to see an ancient breastplate and axe long thought lost.

- You located the dwarvish armor and axe that Nali sought. He now uses their inscriptions and battle marks to fuel his debates with Sirion the elf.

Grey Mountains - Parcho's Request
Parcho asked you to locate an ancient manuscript to help decipher a temple inscription, along with a dagger once owned by one of the dwarvish kings.
Other Journal Entries
- You returned the manuscript and dagger to Parcho. He is now studying them and should be visited again later.
- Parcho used the manuscript, dagger, armor, and axe to fashion a magic ice pick from a dragon gland and a tooth of Glaurung. It should serve as a key.

Grey Mountains - Sirion's Request
Sirion the elven scholar in the Grey Mountains lodge wants to know what happened to his acolyte and what he sought. He also needs a dragon gland to prove to the dwarf that the rocks brought down the dwarvish kings.

- You located everything Sirion needed. He and Nali are now locked in heated debate, armed with the evidence you recovered.

Mumakan - The Fall of the Lights
You spoke with a cautious scribe in the tower of Sarul.

- The scribe warned that Ardor stirs again and pointed you toward the University of Darin Tesarath for answers about Ardana and the Court.
- At Darin Tesarath, Featur revealed the Court's plan and sent you toward Kirnak with the Book of Andraax and instructions to undermine the Court factions.
- In Kirnak you learned of Moran and the prophecy, then set out to breach the Citadel of Ardor, defeat Ardana, and recover one Gem of Unlight.
- After returning with the gem and completing Featur's final exchange, you gained deeper knowledge of the Gem of Unlight and the path toward awakening Moran.
