Made in the late Second Age at Emyn-nu-Fuin, these stones are now scattered throughout Arda. It is a 1/3 pound dark blue stone which glows upon command.
These stones always float in the air and must be within three feet of their owner to be any use. When the stone is used, it takes up a circling orbit one to three feet above the user's head. Thereafter, the stone must be grasped or netted to separate it from its owner. The owner may voluntarily seize and stow a stone to keep it safe, but loses the benefits of the stone during that time.
This particular stone is Dark Blue, and has the shape of a Rhomboid.
