This dark grey lap harp is actually sheathed with a mix of black and white mosaic chips, laid out as carefully as a moth's wing. The resulting grey is patterned after ripples in puddles during rain, or waves on a windy river. It is missing seven strings, removed at the whim of its owner, Linsul of the Court of Ardor. The wood itself is dark, perhaps ebony or darkened teak, and its fittings (pegs, bridge, etc.) are of mithril.
Ability: Consumes one Bard Song to strike enemies within 10 meters of a targeted location after a brief delay. Spell resistance applies, and a successful Will save negates the effect. Creatures that fail are knocked down for 1 round and silenced for half a round per five points of total Perform, to a maximum of 3 rounds. Certain powerful creatures cannot be silenced but can still be knocked down. The save DC is based on Bard level and Charisma, with bonuses from Evocation Spell Focus feats. Bard level and Spell Penetration feats determine whether the effect overcomes spell resistance.
