All of the penalties listed are additive.

- 6 Perform / Bard level 2: -1 Will saves
- 9 Perform / Bard level 3: -2 damage, -1 Fortitude saves
- 12 Perform / Bard level 6: -1 Reflex saves, -1 skills
- 15 Perform / Bard level 8: -2 attack
- 18 Perform / Bard level 11: -2 Dodge AC, -2 skills
- 21 Perform / Bard level 14: -3 damage, -3 Dodge AC
- 24 Perform / Bard level 15: -2 Will, -2 Fortitude, -2 Reflex, -4 Dodge AC, -3 skills
- 30 Perform / Bard level 16: -3 Will, -5 Dodge AC, -4 skills
- 35-70 Perform / Bard levels 17-24: skill penalty improves by 1 each step, ending at -12. All other penalties remain unchanged.
- 75 Perform / Bard level 25: -6 Dodge AC, -13 skills, sonic damage becomes 50% higher
- 80 Perform / Bard level 26: -14 skills
- 85 Perform / Bard level 27: -6 Dodge AC, -15 skills
- 90 Perform / Bard level 28: -6 Dodge AC, -16 skills
- 95 Perform / Bard level 29: -17 skills
- 100 Perform / Bard level 30: -7 Dodge AC, -18 skills, sonic damage becomes 100% higher
Curse Song inflicts sonic damage equal to the bard's Perform skill. At 75 Perform and Bard level 25, this damage becomes 50% higher. At 100 Perform and Bard level 30, it becomes 100% higher.
