Arda v1375.6
August 26, 2021
A test run lowers server difficulty to D&D Hardcore Rules, port authorities give way to new 5,000 gold caravans, and Cargash Keep in Angmar gets a new tileset.
Server difficulty lowered from "Very Difficult" to "D&D Hardcore Rules" We're testing a lower difficulty to help newer players and hopefully keep them around longer, especially in the mid levels. The module can be a bit rough there with no gear or reincarnate status. This isn't final; it's simply a test run. Please keep it in mind as you play and let us know how it affects your gameplay, considering your gear, level, reincarnate status, and where you're adventuring. One concern is that this could make harder areas "too easy" for veterans and reincarnates. If it lowers the difficulty too much overall, we may revert it, or raise the difficulty in tougher areas by other means. Please test and give feedback!
Port authorities removed from Gondor and Raj. Caravans added/adjusted (all 5,000 gold one way): Lake-town ↔ Rhûn/Dyrian (elf settlement) Dol Amroth ↔ Raj Raj ↔ Sarul/South Gondor (Langstrand) ↔ Mithlond (you must be a reincarnate OR level 15+ when traveling from Mithlond) Mountains of Angmar - Cargash Keep: new tileset / slight redesign Grey mage (Mithlond): removed the locked door Increased render/draw performance in Dol Amroth Drop fix for the Necromancer Other minor fixes Follow-up (Aug 28): an NWSync update fixed a crash on mobile versions of NWN: EE caused by the new Cargash Keep tileset
